We partner with our Client’s development and construction teams to bring code compliance to the important design and construction standards that relate to their projects. Our goal is to meet all of the Client’s project needs, including code compliance. We help decipher the most complex of compliance requirements from multiple sources, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Fair Housing Act (FHA), state and local building codes, and the public funding requirements of government agencies.
Real Estate Developers
Our commercial clients develop office buildings, museums, amusement parks, and retail centers. Our residential clients are both local and national. Property Owners
Both current and future property owners often need to assess their compliance with applicable building or zoning regulations. We review existing records and inspect buildings and facilities to determine their level of code compliance. When risks exist, we work with their attorneys, architects, real estate brokers, and contractors to create productive transition plans towards compliance.

Whether it’s fire-life safety, accessibility, or local zoning regulations, architects are asked to know something about almost every aspect of a building. Some building code provisions require special expertise to successfully include them into the design work. We help provide that expertise. Our staff can advise early and often to avoid design missteps and pitfalls that commonly occur with complex requirements. We make it our business to know what these complicated rules say and mean and help the design team understand and properly apply them.

Our attorney clients need expert advice on design and construction standards. We advise them on what the codes really require, what are the appropriate standards of care for how well a project was designed or built, and how to best resolve identified concerns.
